Quarterly Networking Brown Bag Lunch April 6

Posted: March 1, 2018

We at the SWBHIPA have changed our Brown Bags to quarterly rather than monthly to hopefully facilitate a greater number of people attending!  We will be meeting Friday, April 6th from 11:30-12:45 in the basement of 3200 Carlisle Blvd NE # 208, Albuquerque, NM 87110

Sandy English will presenting the training on the Circle of Security Approach. Below is an excerpt of the fundamentals of this training. We look forward to seeing you!

Circle of Security is an 8 -12 week parenting program consisting of no more than 12 parents. The classes meet once a week for 1 hour.  Videos are provided by CoS for each chapter covered.  The videos do the teaching. The program is built on Ainsworth and Bowlby’s theory of attachment with 30 years of research on how to meet a child’s needs.  CoS Class will start the first of April on Thursday evening at 6:30pm.  The CoS language is simple yet profound; handouts, diagrams and videos are provided. CoS  provides a research based map for parents to use in becoming more aware of how to meet the child’s needs. Sandy is in private practice,  a trained Circle of Security facilitator, Certified Sand tray therapist and has been  working with children in play therapy setting for 25 years. Questions?
